We are seeking a qualified Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to support the DoD PPSM program. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing critical cybersecurity documentation, supporting secure data sharing and configuration management practices, and administering the PPSM Registry and associated deliverables. This position plays a vital role in maintaining secure command and control of the DoDIN and ensuring compliance with DoD Information Assurance (IA) policies. Responsibilities Include:
- Administer the PPSM Registry Database, including:
- User account management
- System data entry
- Exporting data to external administrators in specific formats
- Conduct QA reviews of:
- VA (Vulnerability Assessments)
- IA Security Engineering
- Cybersecurity configuration and implementation strategies
- RMF (Risk Management Framework) compliance
- Perform technical analysis to ensure PPS interoperability, security configurations, and vulnerability management using automated interfaces.
- Monitor and analyze current/emerging net-centric DoD requirements, ensuring the PPSM portfolio is aligned and responsive.
- Assist the PPSM Program Manager in executing Implementation Plans that support agile, standards-driven, secure DoDIN access.
- Ensure full compliance with IA policies and operational directives from DoD, USCYBERCOM, the Joint Staff, and the PPSM CCB.
- Support and maintain the Vulnerability Assessment Database (VAD).
- Distribute the PPSM CCB/TAG Read Ahead materials to stakeholders prior to each meeting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (IT-related field preferred)
- Eight (8) years of overall experience in cybersecurity or network security position
- Five (5) years of experience in a Cybersecurity role
- Have an active DoD Top Secret clearance
- DoD 8570 IAM/IA Technical (IAT) Level III certification
- Proficiency in security architecture, system hardening, vulnerability management, and intrusion detection/prevention
- Demonstrated experience with relevant tools such as eMASS, STIG Viewer, Nessus, ACAS, SCAP, or HBSS
- Advanced understanding of the RMF process, NIST SP 800- 37, NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253
- Strong written and oral presentation skills
- Customer service skills
Compensation: $145,000 - $155,000
