AGE Solutions is looking for a Cloud Architect to join our team providing expertise in support of an upcoming cloud support services program with our DoD customer in Ft. Meade, MD. The Cloud Architect will provide expertise in Anything as a Service (XaaS) Cloud Service Offerings (CSO) across multiple Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) to include off-prem, on-prem, hybrid, and tactical edge offerings.

Responsibilities Include:



  • Evaluate CSP provided documentation and make recommendations to the government on acceptability of technical artifacts.
  • Track and report commercial parity exceptions on a monthly basis to support the SCCA PMO.
  • Evaluate change/release notifications from CSPs and advise the government on the operational impact of those changes.
  • Provide direction on designing cloud infrastructure capable of supporting applications in the cloud with an emphasis on scalability, automation, performance and availability.
  • Advise user community on CSO adoption based on specific DoD use cases.
  • Interact with CSPs on a weekly basis to discuss cloud adoption pipeline.
  • Engage with CSPs on routine questions regarding DoD configuration, policy, and controls.
  • Facilitate and attend multi-cloud technical exchange meetings.
  • Develop and track DoD CSO demand tracking list for IC working groups.
  • Work with Cyber PMO to ensure engineered solutions meet cyber compliance.
  • Work with DISA directorates to facilitate the following:

    • Circuit connections at multiple classifications,
    • Cloud Access Point (CAP) onboarding, and
    • Technical discussions for DoD Provisional Authorization (DoD PA).


  • Assist in the system test of tactical edge devices.
  • Provide expertise on cloud implementations and research emerging trends and technologies related to cloud engineering. Implements prescribed solutions for various deployment models (Private, Public, Community and Hybrid) and delivery models including Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).
  • Ensure SCCA staff accounts are properly configured to use SCCA tools including, but not limited to, DoD365, the Atlassian suite of tools, and others as needed.
  • Collaborate with SCCA staff to manage and track service desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution and providing status updates to stakeholders.
  • Serve as SCCA liaison to DISA and CSP IT to ensure compliance with policies and identify pain points to improve the efficiency of efficacy of those interactions.
  • Provide Tier 3 Support:

    • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues conducting in-depth troubleshooting, performing root cause analysis, and implementing advanced solutions to address underlying problems.
    • Collaborate with other IT teams, vendors, or third-party providers to diagnose and resolve issues.
    • Contribute to creating and maintaining knowledge base articles, technical documentation, and standard operating procedures ensuring that valuable troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and workarounds are documented for future reference and to enhance the overall support process.
    • Identify trends, recurring issues, or systemic problems and provide feedback to enhance service quality, identify areas for improvement, and suggest preventive measures to minimize future incidents.




Requirements:



  • 10 years of recent relevant experience (five years of which in Computer Science or equivalent field).
  • BA/BS (or equivalent)
  • 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) II+ or Information Assurance Management (IAM) II+ 461 Systems Security Analyst, 541-Vulnerability Assessment Analyst, 722 - Information Systems Security Manager. Acceptable Certifications Include:

    • 461: CCE, CISSO, CISSP-ISSEP, CySA+, FITSP-O, GCLD, GCSA, GSNA
    • 541: CCE, CFR, CISM, CISSO, CySA+, FITSP-A, GCSA, GPEN, GCSA
    • 722: CISM, CISSO, CISSP, CISSP-ISSMP, FITSP-M, GCIA, GCIH, GCSA, GICSP, GSLC


  • DoD Secret Clearance
  • DoD experience
  • Experience with Azure, AWS


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Certifications from Azure and/or AWS


Compensation: $170,000 - $190,000
