Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Lab Specialist in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. The Analytical Services function supports nuclear fuel and reactor control component manufacturing by performing analyses of products for chemical and mechanical properties. The Analytical Services laboratories are equipped with a wide range of instrumental analyses (LECO analyzers for Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Carbon and Sulfur, multiple Agilent ICP-MS and ICP-OES, Nu mass spectrometers, Bruker XRF, Thermo Ion chromatographs, Shimadzu gas chromatograph, Dupont electrolysis, VaporPro, CEM microwave perp, etc.) and wet chemistry capabilities (e.g. Titration, Io sensitive elctrodes). Analytical Services also uses Thermo Fisher Scientific Sample Manager LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) software for sample tracking results, recording, and reporting. Your work will include:

• Receive samples and enter information and test results in the Laboratory Information Management Systems database.
• Perform chemical analysis on materials using various laboratory equipment & instruments and perform quality checks.
• Prepare and analyze samples utilizing established laboratory practices and documented procedures.
• Keep lab equipment, supplies, and work area clean and organized by disposing of samples and waste in adherence with strict safety procedures.
• Work around radioactive materials and/or corrosive chemicals such as acids and must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Framatome's Richland, WA facility is a licensed nuclear fuel manufacturing site and complies with US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and US Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $21.20 - $27.60 per hour, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
