What is The Role:

Elastic is seeking a senior B2B tech PR professional to join its Global Communications team to lead US PR. The successful candidate will play an important role in elevating Elastic's brand awareness and affinity with our customers, partners and investors. Ideally, this person is located in or near San Francisco, California.

As a savvy PR pro, you will proactively collaborate with the marketing and solution teams, in addition to the US Public Sector leadership to identify and prioritize communications needs. Your focus will be to build and nurture a strong US PR program to drive interest from media in Elastic and our technology.

What You Will Be Doing:

This leadership role requires an individual who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, demonstrate strategic thinking, and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and externally.

The right candidate is exceptional at media relations and storytelling and will possess notable writing skills, strong program management abilities, and the ability to craft integrated communication strategies to drive business results.

You are well-connected with tech and business journalists and can develop cut-through news stories to help frame conversations with relevant media resulting in meaningful coverage in business and industry publications.

In addition, you are passionate about working with internal stakeholders across functions and geographies to ensure alignment within a global marketing team. This position reports to the Senior Director, Global PR.

  • A commitment to building a one-team spirit to ensure a unified approach to our global communications.
  • Critical thinking skills and a strategic and empathetic leadership style while prepared to learn and grow in a team of communications professionals.
  • A strong executive presence and experience establishing positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in international communications leadership, preferably at a high-growth enterprise technology company and/or an agency (10+ years).

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component.

The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below. In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below.

These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program. Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.

$160,300-$253,600 USD

The typical starting salary range for this role in the select locations listed above is:

$192,300-$304,200 USD
