Overview

Provides strategic technical leadership for Engineering and Program Management across the organization. Guides manufacturing footprint optimization (MFO) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for large and/or complex customer programs ensuring program excellence. Develops and drives engineering and program management processes and standards enterprise-wide.



Responsibilities

    Drives excellence in Engineering and Program Management across the Enterprise. Leads the creation and implementation of enterprise-wide engineering and program management processes and standards.
  1. Manages large and/or complex program launches ensuring programs are delivered on time and on budget.
  2. Drives new engineering concepts, technical innovations, program management methodologies, standards, and procedures. Acts as a change agent in development and improvement of business processes across the organization.
  3. Ensures the optimal application of technology, quality, engineering, and program management resources to meet customer product development and program delivery requirements.
  4. Researches and recommends alternative methods and procedures in solving problems and meeting customer requirements.
  5. Reviews technical and program execution problems and procedures and recommends solutions or changes in procedures at the enterprise level.
  6. Leads, mentors, and manages cross-functional teams, providing guidance and support to ensure individual and collective success while fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment across the entire organization.
  7. Orchestrates alignment between engineering initiatives and broader business objectives, ensuring all programs support strategic priorities.
  8. Establishes and maintains enterprise-wide program governance frameworks, metrics, and reporting systems to ensure visibility and accountability.
  9. Completes other projects as assigned.


Qualifications

Job Skills Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering practices, program management methodologies, and cross-functional leadership principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing footprint optimization (MFO) ensuring organizational manufacturing capabilities are maximized in an efficient manner.
  • Comprehensive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) experience ensuring customer quality expectations are met.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, team-oriented communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated success implementing enterprise-wide improvements in complex and diverse environments.
  • Ability to interface and work with diverse groups internally and externally.
  • Excellent strategic planning, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills within a matrix organization.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align technical initiatives with financial and operational objectives.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Ten years of experience in quality, engineering, program management, or related fields.
  • Minimum five years of demonstrated success in leadership positions overseeing technical programs.
  • Experience managing enterprise-wide initiatives.
