Urodynamic Tech - Urology, Highlands Ranch

Job Summary:

The Urodynamic Tech is responsible for performing urodynamic studies and overseeing patient flow of uroflowmetry, pressure/flow cystometry, urethral pressure profilometry (UPP), vesical sensory thresholds, and post-void residuals, in a standardized technique. Reports are reviewed and interpreted under the supervision of Urologic Physicians and APPs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining the quality of a urodynamic study, requiring that all equipment is appropriately set up, regularly calibrated, and with sufficient working knowledge to "troubleshoot' any problems encountered during the study.
• Collects, documents, and processes the data obtained during the evaluation of the Urodynamic study.
• Documents clinical data and patient responses in medical records and reports any abnormal findings.
• Provides instruction and technical demonstrations to patients, their families, and other health care professionals.
• Accurately rooms patients, obtains & records vital signs, patient history, and reason for seeking care.
• Accurately processes and records telephone messages in the patients' medical records according to policy.

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Highlands Ranch, CO.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4 years of urodynamic experience.
  
  
  
  • Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
  
  
  
  

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with EPIC, Kronos, and Healthstream.
• Bilingual, Spanish preferred.

Conditions of Employment:

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross healthcare provider level CPR certification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, to include physicians, leadership, and staff within the various affiliate organizations (UCH, Children's Colorado, CU Medicine, CU SOM).
• Ability to work within large, complex healthcare systems.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data.
• Ability to compile complex reports and develop presentations.
• Ability to compose letters and memorandums.
• Ability to deal calmly and courteously with people.
• Ability to deal with stressful situations.
• Ability to finish tasks in a timely manner.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as

$54,960.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
