Job Description WGU serves learners across all 50 states-each with unique aspirations, backgrounds, and workforce opportunities. The Vice President of Regional Marketing leads a team of geographically aligned marketers to translate national priorities into impactful, localized campaigns. This leader shapes and executes regional strategies that strengthen WGU's brand presence, support enrollment growth, and foster meaningful local connections. This is a high-impact role for a dynamic, data-informed strategist who thrives at the intersection of marketing, operations, and cross-functional collaboration. The VP will guide a national team through its next phase of maturity-refining a model built over the past three years and helping team members, many of whom are new to WGU, align on shared outcomes, metrics, and operational discipline. Key Responsibilities
Lead the Regional Marketing team, overseeing strategy and execution across seven U.S. geographic regions. Translate market-level insights-including audience behavior, competition, and workforce trends-into actionable marketing strategies. Design and execute marketing efforts that increase brand relevance, support enrollment goals, and build lasting community connections. Serve as a senior marketing leader and cross-functional partner to Regional Operations (Outreach), Advancement, Communications, and Government Relations. Support team growth and evolution-three of the seven regional leadership roles are currently open-with the opportunity to shape structure, talent, and long-term direction. Build trust-based relationships with Regional VPs, navigating different leadership styles while aligning on strategic goals. Establish robust measurement practices for campaign performance, marketing effectiveness, and localized impact. Guide messaging and channel selection to reflect the needs, values, and priorities of each region's audience.
