Location:BWP Shift: Night Shift (C) Southwire Job Description Key Responsibilities Safety Management * Promote a Culture of Zero by continuously monitoring safety rules and requirements (i.e., dress code/PPE/reporting requirements/machine guarding) * Lead the completion of Incident Investigations at the event's time, including root cause and corrective action. Responsibility to escalate. * When necessary, complete risk assessments and hazard recognition * Respond to team member safety concerns in a timely manner * Communicate safety violations, team member safety concerns and/or identified safety hazards to management * Create Maintenance Work Order for alteration or repair of safety hazards Human Capital: * Acts as a Management Representative during off-business hours (such as weekends and holidays) - shift rotation * Staffing Control: ensure the right resources are in the right place to run the operation, manage vacation leaves, job movements, to manage adequate staffing and participate in interviews * Provide hands-on assistance in trouble shooting and eliminating process issues. * Provide hands-on assistance in support of day-to-day operations. * Provide hands-on assistance in cost reduction- areas such as: process improvements, lean opportunities, shipping methods, etc. Operational Excellence: * Leads Tier 1 Daily Accountability process with Team Leaders * Facilitate the Daily Huddle Process * Review and monitor inventory movements in SAP to assure inventory accuracy. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree desired * 5+ years directly related experience * Must possess strong leadership skills. * Computer skills required. * Must have excellent verbal and written skills along with exceptional interpersonal skills.
