Reporting directly to the Brand President of Hannaford, this position is responsible for the brand's overall Finance & Real Estate strategy and the planning, communicating, interpreting, directing and final decisions of all areas of Finance & Real Estate within the brand. As a key member of Hannaford's leadership team, the VP, Finance & Real Estate must be a strategic person that can co-steer the business and provide strategic financial and real estate guidance, ensure the company's financial health and drives long-term growth and profitability. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Strategy/Planning o Develop and implement financial and real estate strategies to support the banner's goals and objectives, maintaining brand strategy and customer proposition o Partner with the business to develop the necessary forecasts, budgets and long-range plans with appropriate analysis on the drivers of these plans o Ensure alignment with ADUSA and AD Group functions for accounting and reporting, FP&A, M&A, tax and treasury. Play a leading role for local M&A transactions Job Title: Vice President Finance & Real Estate Full or Part Time: Full Time o Monitor industry trends and economic conditions to inform financial decision making Driving Performance o Operate as single accountability position overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis and all brand real estate activities o Manage the preparation of financial statements, reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders (e.g. ADUSA and AD Group) o Analyze financial results, evaluate current, historical and projected trends to support detailed projections, analysis, and interpretation of trends and variances o Partner with functional leaders to understand expenses and identify ways to manage/reduce o Work with brand and ADUSA partners in developing financial analyses for new stores and remodels, including capital spend and ROI o Obtain appropriate approvals (ADUSA/AD Group) for relevant capital expenditures (e.g., significant expenditures, expenditures not hitting pro forma hurdle rates, etc.) o Serve as a leader, partnering with other leadership roles (Retail, Merchandising, Supply Chain, etc.), to achieve working capital initiatives - primarily inventory levels o Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards Banner Leadership o Provide financial and business decision leadership support for both on-going business activities and the development of new opportunities o Lead the finance and real estate teams, fostering an inclusive culture and leading continuous improvement and professional development o Collaborate with the Hannaford leadership team to drive business performance and strategic initiatives Qualifications and Experience: O 15+ years of progressive Finance responsibility for a global and/or multi-country company or division with at least $2 billion in revenues and preferably with a focus on consumers/retail O Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
