Responsibilities

The Global Logistics Sourcing Manager leads an international team of Logistics Sourcing Managers and reports to Director, Global Sourcing.Successful candidate will develop and organize sourcing activities for multiple global categories of spend, leveraging deep market insights to achieve progressive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reductions while maintaining/improving product quality and supplier service levels. This leader also works closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with Business needs and to develop effective category strategies and implementation plans that drive TCO reduction, WC improvementand support sustainable procurement and risk management objectives. This role provides market insights to commercial and functional teams around Logistics supply, demand, forecast, and pricing trends while collaborating with mode procurement managers on negotiation plans, contracting and driving end-to-end value.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain deep market insights and expertise into assigned categories

Oversee logistics sourcing strategy development/execution aligned to business needs as well as supporting sustainable procurement and risk management objectives

Champion and secure TCO reductions and working capital improvement and ensure governance of savings

Oversee the process to select suppliers and owns relationships and performance, including supplier financials and relevant metrics. Implement and drive Supplier Relationship Management program for key suppliers.

Develop and execute an overall logistics sourcing strategy and implementation plans.

Assure logistics categories' strategies are developed, covering any opportunity across the levers of commercial, specification or demand.

Assure logistics categories' strategies are developed leveraging GSP processes and governance for contract approvals processes.

Advises or negotiates key supplier contracts in line with the category strategies, consulting with procurement operations on design principles, operational and service level requirements.

Collaboration with key business and functional partners (including SBU LT members and other functions) to ensure alignment of strategies with business needs (Participate with cross functional teams). Measure and track internal performance within each spend category

Monitor logistics categories' strategy implementation

Drive annual productivity improvements in each spend category

Forecast Logistics Cost as needed in collaboration with Procurement Operations.

Collaborate with external technology and service providers to qualify new sustainable logistics services solutions

Balance commercial and sustainable aspects to make logistics sourcing decisions aligned with company and business strategies

Manages, motivates and assesses the performance of a team of professionals, and supports their career development.

Qualifications

Functional Skills and Capabilities:

* Negotiating experience with customers or suppliers

* Strong commercial acumen

* Adherence to Eastman's Procurement policies (compliance, ethics, etc.)

* Ability to buy externally and sell internally

* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), highly collaborative, and promote global cross functional teamwork.

* Possess the ability to handle a wide variety of activities simultaneously while assuming a high level of accountability and responsibility.

* Capable of making critical quick decisions.

* Strong people leader in selecting, developing and coaching team members.

* Has the ability to lead, and influence teams of people with and without having direct authority over those groups.

* Expertise with Analytical Tools preferred; including but not limited to SAP, Power BI, Microsoft Excel

Education and Experience:

* A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, , Business, or related field. MBA preferred.

* Successful 10+ year track record within Procurement or similar commercial experience

Certification or Licensing:

* APICS or CPM certification is a plus but not required

Location:

Kingsport, TN, USA preferred, but potential consideration for remote candidates.
