AGE Solutions is looking for an Authorization and Assessment Engineer to join our team in support of an upcoming cybersecurity risk management and assessment program with our DoD customer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, reviewing, revising, implementing, managing, and maintaining technical documentation, forms, and processes that support the A&A for RE5 as described below. Individuals in this role must be available to work on-site at Ft. Meade, MD for the majority of the workweek. Responsibilities Include:
- Gather and analyze technical information to document new or updated system functionality.
- Prepare and review various work products, ensuring technical and grammatical accuracy and adherence to formatting guidelines.
- Maintain and update documentation style guides and templates.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, NIST, DoD, and DISA regulations, policies, and standards for all documentation.
- Provide the Government with a SOP, TTP, Work Instruction (WI), and Document Template Review and Revision Plan, updating templates as required.
- Update and validate RE5 A&A processes, guides, and procedures annually or as needed, maintaining supporting forms.
- Develop and maintain process guides, instructions, templates, forms, and checklists for A&A implementation at DISA.
- Document lessons learned and best practices to improve future assessment and validation processes, ensuring compliance with DoDI 8510.01.
- Attend weekly meetings, working groups, ISSM training, and A&A site visits as required.
- Use online platforms (e.g., MS Teams) to record and conduct training on new or updated processes within three days of release.
- Store and maintain all process publications and forms in the RE5 Internal Data Repository.
- Create and manage A&A forms using SharePoint and Adobe, ensuring compatibility with eMASS/RTS.
- Conduct technical and administrative reviews to ensure documentation is clear, concise, accurate, and complete before submission for Government approval.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (IT-related field preferred)
- Five (5) years of overall experience in cybersecurity or network security position
- Have an active DoD Top Secret clearance
- DoD 8570 IAM/IA Technical (IAT) Level II certification
- Strong understanding of A&A (Assessment & Authorization) processes, eMASS, RTS, and security compliance documentation
- Knowledge of security architecture, system hardening, vulnerability management, and intrusion detection/prevention
- Knowledge of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption protocols, and endpoint security
- Experience with security tools such as ACAS, Splunk, Nessus, STIG Viewer, HBSS/ESS, eMASS, and SIEM solutions.
- Strong technical writing and editing skills with attention to detail
Compensation: $115,000 - $125,000
