About This Role

The marketing and communications manager develops content across all communications platforms on behalf of the Applied Learning Experiences at Kansas State University. The incumbent exercises extremely good judgement and discretion, participating in high-level conversations and translating information into appropriate communications for public consumption. As part of the Applied Learning Experiences team, this position works with the Division of Communications and Marketing and campus community to ensure adherence to university branding guidelines and that messaging is appropriately aligned. This position reports to the Executive Director for Applied Learning.

This position is on-site.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three to five years of relevant experience


This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience working in marketing and/or applied learning
  • Familiarity with best practices for web and social media
  • Clear communication and writing skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with creative teams and campus partners to identify and support brand standards
  • Ability to work within strict deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with a wide variety of audiences


Other Requirements:



  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at time of employment
