Senior User Assistance Developer

Role Description & Responsibilities:

Dassault Systemes is looking for a talented and experienced User Assistance Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating user-centric documentation that enhances the customer experience and supports the effective use of our software solutions. You will engage with the R&D and Product Management team to have a clear understanding of the functionalities being developed and in the interfaces and user input required.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Author user guides in XML, which are transformed into contextual online help in HTML.
  • Create clear and engaging "What's New" content that highlights new features for customers.
  • Write tooltips.
  • Document system settings and configurations managed by administrators.
  • Address and resolve customer feedback related to documentation.

Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical writing, documentation, or user assistance.
  • Proficient with XML editing tools (preferably Oxygen).
  • Knowledge of DITA standards, HTML, and source control systems.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English, and increasing independence, responsibility, and leadership.
  • Experience working with multiple cultures and a geographically distributed team.
  • Strong analytical skills: must be able to clearly define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Experience providing guidance and feedback to peers (technical editing, peer reviewing, mentoring, etc.)
  • Excellent time management and teamwork skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience or familiarity with documenting Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and mobile applications.
  • Exposure to Agile development environments and practices.


"Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $130,000 to $175,000 representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus".

Dassault Systemes offers an excellent salary with potential for bonus, commensurate with experience.
