Primary Purpose: The Financial Shared Services AR Supervisor leads a team of AR Specialists ensuring payments are collected timely, disputes are resolved quickly and appropriate credit lines are in place while ensuring customer satisfaction and proactive sales engagement. What you will do:
- Manages a team of AR Specialists and AR Leads to ensure timely collection of invoices according to payment terms.
- Give support and direction to the team to meet our performance measurements.
- Develops and maintain partnerships with internal and external partners, including but not limited to: Customers, Commercial, Operations, Customer Solutions, Business Solutions, and Accounting.
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed supporting organizational and Collections & Receivable departmental requirements.
- Collaborate with Credit team to mitigate credit risk and potential bad debt.
- Assists with special projects, preparation of reports or other duties as assigned.
What you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting from a fully accredited four year institution is preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 1 year supervisory experience; leading and motivating others.
- Intermediate knowledge and experience working with MS Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.
- Experience with credit risk mitigation - balancing customer needs with credit risk.
- Ability to communicate and make enforce policies, procedures and manage against expectations.
- Able to demonstrate strong business insight.
- Ability to review and understand credit and collection policy and present ideas.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, leading communications from line level staff to field management.
- Excellent customer service skills with well-developed interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, tact, and discretion.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle diverse and significant workload.
- Must demonstrate active listening skills that can collect accurate and detailed information.
- Cross-functional team collaboration skills.
- Strong financial and analytical skills.
- Must be thorough and deadline sensitive; High sense of urgency.
- Experience with SOX controls and associated responsibilities preferred.
