Please review the responsibilities and needed qualifications below and apply today! Scope Boise Cascade Company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Data Analyst to join our team. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide insights that drive business decisions. In this role you will be exposed to all facets of the business - sales & marketing, procurement, inventory management, transportation, logistics, finance, IT, and operations. Experience in Power BI, DAX, SQL, and master data management is essential, as you will be responsible for creating dynamic dashboards and reports to support various departments and initiatives. This position is based in Boise, ID Responsibilities Data Collection and Analysis- Gather, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Power BI Reporting- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights and support business objectives. Data Visualization- Create compelling visualizations to communicate data findings clearly and effectively to stakeholders. Data Integrity- Ensure data accuracy and reliability by validating and auditing data sources regularly. Collaboration- Work closely with business units, IT teams, and leadership to understand data needs and align analytics solutions with organizational goals. Performance Tracking- Monitor and measure business performance through data analysis and reporting, providing recommendations for optimization. Documentation- Document processes, methodologies, and analytical findings for reference and business continuity. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Education- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and report/dashboard creation. Strong skills in SQL and Excel for data manipulation and analysis. Familiarity with database structures and data integration processes. Familiarity with ERP systems and their relationship to data analytics. Analytical Skills- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities to interpret data and provide actionable insights. Communication Skills- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to present findings and collaborate with stakeholders effectively. Attention to Detail- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in building materials manufacturing or distribution industries a plus. Experience with Master Data Management principles and practices.
