Role and Responsibilities:


LaSalle Market is seeking a reliable and friendly Delivery Driver to join our team. In this exciting role, you'll be delivering our mouth-watering meals right to the doorsteps of our happy customers, all while providing exceptional, friendly service.



  • Safely and efficiently deliver food orders to customers in a timely manner.

  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring each delivery is greeted with professionalism and a positive attitude.

  • Handle complaints politely and maintain a professional demeanor.

  • Ensure orders are packed properly to avoid any damage during delivery.

  • Handle cash, credit card transactions, and tips with accuracy.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.

  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.

  • Assist in coordinating deliveries and managing routes efficiently to maximize delivery times.

  • Communicate any delivery issues or delays promptly to the management team.


Qualifications:



  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Previous food delivery or customer service experience.

  • Comfortable using smartphones or GPS apps to track deliveries and access customer information.

  • Ability to follow safety and health regulations (especially related to food handling).


Preferred Skills:



  • Reliable, and detailed oriented.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Self-motivated and able to manage your delivery route with minimal supervision.

  • Quick thinker in handling unexpected situations, like delivery issues or traffic delays.


Physical Demands:



  • Lifting and carrying food containers

  • Navigating stairs and uneven surfaces while delivering meals.

  • Repeated bending and stretching to load/unload meals from the vehicle.

  • Long periods of sitting and driving, sometimes in tight or uncomfortable positions.

  • Frequent use of hands for driving, opening containers, and delivering meals.

  • Walking and standing for extended periods during deliveries.

  • Reasonable accommodations can be provided.


Environmental Demands:



  • Exposure to varying weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, cold).

  • Navigating different types of terrain (urban, suburban, rural).

  • Potentially dealing with traffic, road hazards, and challenging driving conditions.

  • Working in residential areas with tight parking or difficult access points.

  • Encountering different environmental factors (e.g., noisy areas, high or low light conditions).

  • Exposure to household pets or people with health conditions during deliveries.
