The Partners Group currently has an exceptional opportunity for a retirement plan professional to join our Retirement team in Portland, Oregon as an Account Manager & Education Specialist.

How you will make an impact at TPG

The Retirement Plan Account Manager & Education Specialist will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service to clients, helping ensure their retirement plans are well managed and compliant with regulations. By proactively supporting the Retirement Plan Consulting team, this individual will be integral to building strong client relationships, strategizing with vendor partners, and delivering valuable employee education.

A typical day in this role

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring satisfaction by addressing concerns, meeting service commitments, and providing timely resolutions.
  • Support consultants with plan implementation, compliance, administration, and preparation of plan materials, presentations, and proposals.
  • Organize and conduct employee enrollment and education meetings, including group and one-on-one sessions to assist with enrollments, savings goals, and investment allocations.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with ERISA and other regulatory requirements for existing retirement plans.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors, providing continuous support and facilitating the bid solicitation process.
  • Lead or assist with special projects as needed, including preparing reports, materials, and contributing to internal processes and improvements.



Key details

Location: Portland, Oregon in-office with hybrid remote opportunities

Hours: 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri

Salary Range: $70,000-80,000 annually (DOE)

Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods of time, ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and ability to handle long periods of screen time.

Travel: Locally with minimal overnight stays for client meetings, educational workshops, and other business needs.

What you'll bring to the table

  • At least 2 years of experience in pension and retirement plan administration, with the ability to clearly communicate plan details and conduct participant education.
  • A bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and industry-specific software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and professionally.



What will make you really stand out

  • 3-5 years of experience in the retirement plan industry, with a solid understanding of plan administration and investment concepts.
  • Series 65 license (or willingness to obtain within the first 6 months of employment).
  • Experience with participant education, guidance, or one-on-one interactions
  • Proven ability to provide outstanding customer service
