Job Description:
The School District of Milton is seeking a collaborative and student-centered School Social Worker to join our District-wide Student Services team beginning in August 2025. This position will work closely with an experienced social worker already serving in the district, providing built-in peer support and the opportunity to share responsibilities and strategies across schools. This position starts in August 2025. Join us in shaping and supporting our students towards a successful future! A competitive starting salary of $58,816 (2024-25 starting salary) is offered for a 190-day contract for individuals that have a Master's degree. Additional compensation is available for candidates with prior years of teaching experience in public education and additional education beyond a Master's degree. A competitive benefits package is also included. Qualifications: The School District of Milton is seeking a licensed School Social Worker who is committed to supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioral development. The ideal candidate will have school-based experience and knowledge of community resources available to students and families. Candidates should be able to engage and collaborate with parents, students, and colleagues to create a supportive learning environment. Strong communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to work as part of a team are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience or interest in supporting school-based services, including individual and group counseling, behavior planning, social-emotional instruction, and collaboration with families and external providers. Experience with trauma-informed care, culturally responsive practices, and crisis intervention is preferred. Applicants must hold or be eligible for WI DPI Certification in School Social Worker - 7050.
