ABOUT THE ROLE

As a key member of the FP&A team at Accela, you will oversee the financial performance of various segments of the worldwide business. You will collaborate with other finance team members and partners across the organization to perform analyses and reporting that will enhance the decision-making process at the company.

This role will enable Accela and its budget owners to meet financial objectives by driving revenue and profitability while controlling costs. You will empower the finance leadership and the executive team with the information required to run the business effectively.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

* Design and refine detailed financial models to forecast and analyze functional costs, understand sources of variances, and improve forecast accuracy.
* Support monthly close processes, including in-depth variance analysis and data upload.
* Lead corporate finance efforts on annual budget, monthly, and quarterly forecasts.
* Prepare internal and external monthly & quarterly management reporting, analyze financial results, assess risks and opportunities, and communicate key messages to senior management.
* Own and improve Workday Adaptive to ensure data accuracy.
* Build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams to synthesize and integrate updates.
* Support executive management by providing timely ad hoc reporting on critical issues.
* Establish relationships of trust with business partners across the company and gain a deep understanding of relevant drivers.
* Actively seek, participate in, and drive the development and implementation of Corporate FP&A process improvements.
* Availability during Pacific time zone working hours.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a quantitative field; MBA preferred.
* In-depth administrative experience with Adaptive and working knowledge of NetSuite.
* 10+ years of experience in FP&A, Big 4 Accounting, or private equity.
* Outstanding analytical skills and proven ability to simplify large amounts of data into actionable insights.
* Software or SaaS company experience strongly preferred.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience developing and delivering presentations.
* Advanced knowledge of Excel and proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite.
* Experience in 3 statement financial modeling.
* Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously under tight timelines; flexibility to adjust to new demands; self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced unstructured environment.
* Experience working with large datasets, automation, or business intelligence skills.
* Use of Power BI or other data manipulation and visualization tools is a plus.

COMPENSATION AND WELL-BEING
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 - $150,000. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience. In addition to an annual base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus target. This is a discretionary bonus awarded based on company and individual goal achievement.
