About the Role: A leading global fund and asset management firm is seeking a FP&A Director who will engage in comprehensive financial analysis for Private Funds portfolio. This role involves supporting the creation and upkeep of diverse analytical reports, models, and presentations. The position demands significant collaboration with various business units, including Asset Management, Investor Relations, and Finance and Operations teams within the portfolio companies.

Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing private fund investment valuations, working with Portfolio Management teams to ensure appropriate fair value methodologies are used and assisting with their implementation.
  • Reviewing quarterly changes in current and projected investment valuations and returns to ensure they align with business plans, asset performance, market trends, and other relevant factors.
  • Evaluating annual business plans for investments, understanding key strategies and risks, consolidating these plans at the fund level, and preparing analyses for Senior Management and investors to demonstrate value through executing various business plans.
  • Collaborating with Investments and Portfolio Management teams on scenario analyses and special projects for Senior Management and investors.
  • Analyzing investment and property-level performance and operating metrics from underwriting through investment exit, and communicating analysis conclusions to Senior Management and investors.
  • Supporting Investor Relations and Fundraising teams with complex investor requests.
  • Conducting quarterly benchmarking of fund performance against competitor peer groups.
  • Presenting Private Fund quarterly performance and valuations to Investor Relations and other internal groups.
  • Maintaining the private fund valuation policy and monitoring the development and application of sector-specific valuation policies.

Candidate Profile:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in real estate financial planning and analysis, portfolio management, or valuation roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to lead work products and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively and apply a pragmatic approach to handling complex assignments.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a proven track record of working with individuals across various levels and backgrounds.
