Overview

Job Summary

Under direction of Commercial Operations North America Marketing, plan, schedule, and execute customer educational symposia programs. This position requires enthusiastic leadership, coordination, and collaboration skills in a clinical educational environment. The individual is required to lead multi-functional marketing, sales and applications staff to develop high value education programs which provide learning credits to participants. The individual will develop the annual design and calendar of education initiatives, including content and curriculum development, speaker relationships, strategy and program logistics, and engagement. The position requires regular interaction with project team members and upper management.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement clinical education events, including program development, planning, and scheduling.
  • Plan, schedule and create strategies for delivering educational content via in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats. Create events that entail various learning formats, including workshops, seminars, webinars, and certification courses.
  • Coordinate all logistics of events, including communication with vendors and outside service suppliers to ensure project deliverables are completed correctly and on time orthat services are provided in accordance with the plan.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructors, and industry leaders to develop course materials and educational resources that are engaging and effective. Continually evaluate and update curriculum to ensure relevance, quality, and alignment with member needs.
  • Maintain and nurture external educational partners, KOLs, and organizations, to expand the scope and impact of educational offerings, ensuring strategic alignment and long-term partnerships that support education and event initiatives. Be the primary contact for these parties.
  • Promote continuing education opportunities to members through various communication channels, using marketing best practices and theories.
  • Participate in the strategy and content development of Werfen Academy, our online learning platform, to provide training and education related to specialized diagnostics and related medical fields.
  • Responsible for conducting regular project team status meetings and reviews. Ensures deliverables are completed and documented.
  • Ensure all programs meet educational standards and stay current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Identify key metrics and KPis to assess the effectiveness of events, adjusting strategies as necessary, and reporting out results to the Marketing Team and Commercial Operations Leadership.

Networking/Key relationships

  • Work collaboratively across functions and departments to drive the integration of activities between functions. Responsible for communication within project team and to marketing, sales and application upper management.
Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience for the position:

  • Education: BA/BS in industry related field
  • 5-7 years experience in training and development required.
  • Familiarity with healthcare and clinical education demands is preferred.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional projects, coordination education events and handling promotion of such.

Management has the discretion of substituting relevant work experience for a degree and/or making exceptions to the years of experience requirement.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focus attitude.
  • Results driven, with a proactive approach to problem solving and innovation.
  • Strong attention to details, exceptional project management.
  • Strong oral and written skills
  • Knowledge of field staff sales operations and an understanding of the healthcare and medical device landscape is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) and other relevant project management software and tools.
  • Language: English proficiency required

Travel requirements:

  • Up to 15% of time
  • On-site at each annual Educational Program, target of 25 days
  • Participate in annual National Meeting and Quarterly Management Meetings
