As a Principal Compensation Analyst, you will lead compensation projects and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders mainly supporting North America but may have some global driven initiatives. This person must be able to influence and advise leadership, build efficient processes, and provide practical solutions to complex compensation challenges.

This position will be hybrid from Bloomington, MN.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead annual compensation projects including salary range refresh, rewards cycle design, budgeting, training materials for multiple audiences, company-wide communications, and Workday Advanced Compensation configuration.

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners (HRBPs), Talent Acquisition (TA), HR Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders to drive transformational change and influence compensation decisions.

  • Create and present clear, concise presentations to assist senior leadership in making informed compensation decisions.

  • Develop advanced Excel models and tools to automate recurring compensation analysis, providing valuable insights to key stakeholders.

  • Partner with multiple departments to streamline and support compensation processes within Workday HCM, focusing on optimization and accuracy.

  • Conduct job evaluations for North America, assessing scope, responsibilities, education, and experience to ensure proper placement within the company's job architecture and compliance with EEO and FLSA classifications.

  • Monitor legislative activities and regulatory changes impacting compensation programs, including FLSA compliance and pay transparency, and lead their implementation for North America.

  • Create and maintain compensation policies, procedures, and training materials to support both the North American and global Total Rewards teams.

  • Prepare and submit compensation surveys on a rotating basis, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

  • Lead pay transparency initiatives across North America, ensuring alignment with new regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, or a related field; will consider applicants with equivalent years' experience.

  • Minimum of 8 years of compensation experience in a large organization.

  • Proven experience supporting compensation structures for sales teams.

  • Demonstrated success in managing large, complex projects with a globally dispersed team.

  • Strong knowledge of compensation tools as well as North American compensation laws, including FLSA compliance, EEO requirements, and pay transparency legislation.

  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex compensation information effectively to executives and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Compensation experience within the manufacturing sector and expertise in broad-based compensation.

  • Proficiency utilizing Workday HCM and Compensation modules.

  • Advanced Excel skills for building models and conducting data analysis, along with strong reporting and visualization capabilities.

  • Experience with compensation market tools such as MERCER (required) and WTW and ERI

  • Experience working within global frameworks and influencing cross-functional teams.

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Annual Salary Range: $103,300 - $134,200. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, performance.

This position is eligible for annual incentive plan based on performance and company growth.
