We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Scheduling department. This position specifically islocated in Norfolk, Virginia. We are looking for a Scheduler 3. The work schedule is the 1st shift Monday - Friday. Shift: ALL Security Clearance:No Clearance
The Scheduler 3 is responsible for producing critical path resource loaded production schedules, as well as integration of NASSCO's production schedule with Assist Integration Teams (AIT) and Subcontractors. The Scheduler 3 will also develop and provide production reports to the management team.
Typically has a BA/BS in a related field plus two (2) years directly related experience, or AA/AS plus four (4) years' directly related experience, or eight (8) years' directly related experience. Directly related experience in project management, production management preferred. POSITION DEMANDS (Required Experience) In depth knowledge of:
The Scheduler 3 reports to the Engineering & Scheduling Manager for administrative and operational matters. The position maintains internal contacts with various departments including, Estimating, Engineering, Contracts, Supply Chain, Production Management, Trade supervision and Business Development. External contacts include Subcontractors and NASSCO Customers. This position has no direct reports.
Accountable to the Engineering & Scheduling Manager for accurate and timely schedules.
Must be willing to travel and have reliable transportation. Must be a U.S. citizen and qualify for a Common Access Card (CAC) and a security clearance. Must have reliable record of attendance and punctuality and be available for overtime as required. Must be able to physically transit all areas of the facility. Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects or controls, and to talk and hear. Must have good eye/hand coordination. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be familiar with working in a naval-ship-work-environment and be able to go aboard marine vessels and the drydock, climb ladders, work in tanks and confined spaces, and wear personal protective equipment.
