Anchorage, AK - Arctic Spur - Filling industrial How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? Microbulk driver will be responsible for doing daily scheduled deliveries of bulk liquid Co2. Reviewing and adjusting reoccurring orders based on customer demands and demand.

As the "face of Airgas", the Microbulk Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting bulk liquid gasses between pick up terminals and customers, both internal and external. This position safely loads, delivers, unloads, and returns using a company provided truck. This position fills pressurized bulk liquid gasses at the customer's location while interacting with Airgas customers and Airgas associates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective
equipment.
Utilizes onboard computer system when operating vehicle by following company procedures to ensure
accuracy of the data.
Maintains courteous and professional relationships with our customers while providing them with
products and service of exceptional quality.
Delivers bulk liquid safely to customers. Includes unloading from truck, delivering to customer and
supplying proper delivery documentation.
Uploads, delivers and downloads gases to customers' vessels in a safe manner.
Completes all delivery paperwork neatly and thoroughly.
Establishes good customer relations while maintaining a professional appearance with Airgas uniforms
and practices good hygiene.
Communicates in person with customers, providing information on ordering, delivery times, etc.
Provides timely communication back to distribution manager or customer's salesman regarding any
changes related to the customer.
Maintains load manifests and all other vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed and
balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries.
Ensures that vehicle manifest, labeling and load are in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Performs pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and advises of any needed repairs using the vehicle
inspection report form. Have any immediate problems repaired before going on route.
Assists management in route evaluations and efficiencies.
Attends at least one safety meeting per month.
Keeps inside of trucks clear of paper and trash.
May be required to perform on call duties for weekend and after hour deliveries.
All Airgas associates are expected to follow our Guiding Principles and The Essentials of Behaviors
as provided to you upon hire and discussed during the annual performance review process.
All employees are expected to perform any reasonable work request that falls within the qualifications
but not specifically described.

  • Valid Class A CDL or B CDL with HAZMAT, Tanker & Airbrake endorsements

  • Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card & endorsements

  • No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years

  • No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years

  • Must be able to work in a drug-free environment

  • Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment

  • Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 5 years.
