Job Overview The following departments in the College of Arts & Sciences, Biology, Chemistry and Physics (Natural Science Hub 1) are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join the team in a Program Manager role to aid with management of graduate students, admissions, orientation, scheduling and administration of exams, record keeping, and trouble-shooting. The Program Manager will be responsible for the Academic execution of the Departments. This position reports to the Program Director of the Division and partners closely with the assigned Department Heads. This leadership position will mentor and partner with a Program Coordinator to execute the academic initiatives for assignedDepartments. Essential Functions * Partner closely with assigned department heads to execute the academic agenda. * Partner with Business Manager of assigned departments on all related budgets to ensure budgets are adhered to and variances to budget can be explained. * Design, develop, and modify programs to meet the needs of the assigned departments. * Analyze current programs and make any necessary recommendations for improvement. * Mentor program coordinator(s) and provide feedback as necessary to ensure program initiatives are met in a timely manner. * Manage Graduate program application process from inquiries, application review, through to acceptance/denial. Add official decisions in Slate system. * Serve as primary point of contact for graduate students regarding issues including but not limited to graduation, registration/enrollment, student health insurance, stipends/assistantships, and academic awards and tuition. * Assist Graduate Directors in preparing grant and program applications and reports. * Prepare Grad Tracker & Graduation Audits. * Maintain University records in Gradtracker and Catalyst. * Complete course orders with the assistance of the PC. * Create and update degree major maps for graduate program tracks in e-Curriculum. * Order graduate courses and process schedule exemptions. * Orientation preparation for incoming MAP and PhD students. * Clinical placement evaluations. * Education/credential verifications. Required Education Bachelor's Degree. Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
