Job Description

The Vertex Co-op Program offers students the opportunity to learn about the pharmaceutical industry from a hands-on perspective. You will be working closely with and learning from some of the brightest people in the industry. Not only will co-ops learn about their day-to-day tasks through their specific work assignments, but they will interact and have exposure to our organizational leaders and their teams.

Job Summary:

The Medical Engagement Operations (MEO) team provides project management and oversight of thought leader mapping and advisory board planning and execution for Medical Affairs. The co-op position will support these efforts, working directly with MEO team members and cross-functional stakeholders throughout Medical Affairs.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential day-to-day job duties include:

  • Support onboarding of new users for the thought leader mapping database
  • Manage privacy letters for thought leaders who are profiled in our mapping database
  • Support planning and execution of advisory boards, including managing timelines, potentially providing on-site support for in-person ad boards, and collecting and reconciling invoices/payments
  • Manage internal websites, including updating or creating content
  • Update or create process documentation for thought leader mapping and advisory board planning
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Pursing bachelor's degree or master's degree in business, public administration, public health, social work, or health communication
  • Demonstrated strong academic achievement (GPA 3.0 or above)
  • Initiative and the ability to maintain a high level of productivity with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and activities simultaneously
  • Initiative and ability to identify issues
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office programs (Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel)
  • Working knowledge or willingness to learn about project management and database management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Legal authorizationto work in the United States, now and in the future. Please note that Vertex does not provide sponsorship for internships or entry level roles within this part of the organization.
  • Candidate must be enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before July 2025
  • Candidate must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week from July - December 2025.

Program Dates: July - December 2025, Full Time

Pay Range 20.00 - 35.00 USD/hour
