Job Description
ECU Department of Campus Recreation and Wellness is seeking several Recreation Service Attendants.

Become a part of our dedicated team at Campus Recreation and Wellness ( CRW) as a Recreation Service Attendant! This role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to gain valuable experience in supporting campus recreation facilities. You will play a crucial role in promoting the well-being of the campus community. CRW is committed to creating an environment of belonging and well-being and supports the Division of Student Affairs' commitment to purposeful well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate entrance and monitor activities at the Main Student Rec Center and CRW at Health Sciences Campus
  • Provide facility tours and check out equipment
  • Assist with membership sales and locker rentals
  • Perform general cleaning tasks as assigned
  • Enforce all facility rules and regulations
  • Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed
  • Support the planning and execution of special events and programming

Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)
Majors that may be a good fit but not limited to:

  • Recreation and Park Management
  • Hospitality Management
  • Business Administration


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must currently be an enrolled student at ECU
  • Must be able to lift and manage a minimum of 60 lbs. Heavy lifting is required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible work availability, including early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and sanctioned ECU breaks
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 8 to 12 hours a week
  • Obtain valid CPR and First Aid certification and blood-borne pathogens training within 60 days of hire.
