If so, this Material Logistics Specialist position could be an exciting opportunity to consider.

As a Material Logistics Specialist you will be responsible for conducting Materials Management (MM) operations according to cGMPs and area SOPs. You will support MM activities for Medicine Development and Supply (MDS), Clinical Supply Chain (CSC) which includes procurement and control of materials. You will manage the schedule and release of materials with requirements in accordance with the MDS portfolio and budget.

  • Conduct MM operations in accordance with GMPs, GSK standard SOPs.
  • Comply with all safety related material handling procedures and equipment.
  • Ensure delivery of material and supplies in compliance with regulatory expectations and consistency for projects.
  • Prioritize activities against projects and business requirements.
  • Procure/source and inventory supply.
  • Contribute to development of SOPs.
  • Oversee vendor management activities related to GMP materials (Change notifications, vendor complaints, etc.)
  • Contribute to material implementation process for GMP materials to ensure Quality, Safety and process requirements are met.
  • Lead quality investigations and change controls related to material supply.
  • Support project management activities relating to MM in conjunction with MDS objectives.
  • Build sound working relationships with a range of individuals and departments, both internally and externally.
  • Contribute to the implementation of business processes and best working practices to ensure MM operates as efficiently as possible.
  • Contribute to development and issuance of metrics for inventory control, supply, and forecasting.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS or BA in materials management or business or relevant disciple
  • 1+ years of experience related to the following:
    • Experience with GMPs, FDA/EU, and other applicable regulatory agency requirements
    • Experience in inventory and supply chain management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with material handling, procurement and sourcing
  • Order supply and logistics experience
  • Cross-functional team experience
