Senior Project Revenue Analyst

The Senior Project Revenue Analyst plays a critical role in reporting, data analysis, revenue & profitability optimization, and streamlining operational processes. This role will help the organization drive strategic decision-making through accurate and relevant data. The Senior Project Revenue Analyst will leverage their skills to drive positive change, support business objectives, and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial operations.

Primary Responsibilities and Competencies

Project Control Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly project health reports, including phase/project overages for distribution to Leadership and Project Managers.
  • Prepare monthly Accounts Receivable aging reports for distribution to Leadership and Project Managers.
  • Establish a process to receive feedback and follow-up on past due invoices from Project Managers.
  • Streamline processes, leverage technology, and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency.

Revenue

  • Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Develop and implement proper percent complete and revenue recognition policies and procedures.
  • Lead revenue-related activities during month-end close process, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly contracted revenue backlog reporting for distribution to Leadership.
  • Assist Director of Accounting and Leadership with establishment of Labor Category billing rates and annual forecasted revenue.

Business Development

  • Collaborate with Marketing to provide accurate financial data for client Requests for Proposal (RFP's).
  • Assist Marketing and Accounting Leadership with the development and reporting of other key CRM KPI's.
  • Develop soft backlog revenue forecasting and reporting following Deltek Vantagepoint CRM implementation.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and present accurate financial data and reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to drive effective decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS, and other applicable accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assist with industry, insurance, or other surveys.

Continuous Improvement and Financial Systems

  • Assist with implementation and change management of Deltek Vantagepoint ERP system, especially project planning, resource planning, and CRM areas.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies in project management to proactively recommend and implement relevant enhancements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to finance and accounting
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and revenue enhancement
  • Implement changes to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven work experience in financial analysis, project accounting, revenue management or related roles.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills, Deltek VantagePoint & Project Management knowledge strongly preferred.
