Civil Site Project Manager / Team Lead - North Carolina Division

At Benesch, we're shaping the places where communities grow. As a Civil Site Project Manager / Team Lead, you'll lead complex land development projects, build lasting client relationships, and help grow our North Carolina practice - all while mentoring teams and influencing the future of our business.

This hybrid position offers flexibility to balance in-office collaboration at our Charlotte office with remote work.

  • Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools - Ongoing School Projects - Strengthening educational infrastructure through long-term collaboration on new and renovated school facilities
  • Mecklenburg County Park & Recreation - Various Projects - Designing and rehabilitating parks and community facilities that enhance quality of life across the county
  • City of Raleigh - Neuse River Project - Advancing resilient infrastructure along the Neuse River to support sustainable community growth
  • North Carolina State University - Cates West Development - Providing structural engineering for a transformative campus expansion that supports NCSU's academic and research mission
  • New Hanover County - South College Road Multi-Use Path (MUP) - Enhancing connectivity and safety through innovative multimodal design solutions
  • NCDOT I-40 CMGC - Delivering complex, high-value improvements along one of the state's busiest corridors through innovative CMGC collaboration


The Impact You'll Make

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a direct, lasting impact on both people and places:



  • Lead site development projects from concept through final design and construction support
  • Manage and mentor engineers and designers, fostering collaboration and technical excellence
  • Serve as a Seller/Doer by supporting business development, proposals, and client relationships
  • Coordinate closely with Senior Project Managers, Group Managers, and Division leadership
  • Develop site layouts, grading, hydrology, and utility designs that meet client and regulatory requirements
  • Drive project success through effective budget, schedule, and quality control
  • Play a key role in the growth of the practice, with opportunity to advance into a Group Manager role
