Summary:

The Director of Strategic Analytics leads large scale, high priority analytic consulting and solution engineering projects for the MaineHealth Medical Group (MHMG). The Director oversees a team of business consultants, health care operational analysts, business intelligence developers, database developers and project managers. The Director is also a technical developer and data and reporting expert.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, or physical or life science required; advanced degree preferred
  2. License/Certifications: Epic certification in Cogito or Clarity data and reporting required; additional Epic administrative or clinical training preferred
  3. Experience: 5 years in clinical operations, or equivalent
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required:
  5. Expertise in requirements gathering, data engineering, database design, testing and implementation
  6. Expertise with Microsoft Cloud collaboration platforms required
  7. Expertise with project management platforms such as MS Project, Smartsheet and CloudCoach required
  8. Advanced Visual Basic or equivalent coding in Excel required
  9. Expertise in database connectors such as PowerQuery, Python, Alteryx, Databricks or equivalent required
  10. Expertise in designing and developing complex, dynamic reports using Tableau, Crystal, PowerBI, Cognos or similar platforms required
  11. Ability to present QI concepts, methods and tools in a clear and persuasive manner in verbal, written, automated and audiovisual formats to a variety of audiences
  12. Mastery of SQL required; Snowflake desired
