Intern- Project Management

This position is onsite in our Lake Zurich, IL location

The intern's primary responsibility will be to create a Project Management global playbook, which will serve as a guide for project managers in the US and India who support product development from the initial idea stage to commercial launch.

• The playbook should address the complexities of collaborating with R&D teams in both the US and India. It should outline specific guidelines for managing projects that involve different manufacturing plants, including FK plants, CMO (contract manufacturing) plants, and former FK plants now operating as CMOs (Halden, Norway). Additionally, the playbook should detail the processes for working with internal API plants, the preclinical team for toxicological assessments, and the medical/clinical team for bioequivalence studies.

• Other topics for the playbook include additional activities for combination products, working with GAM (global alliance management) on hybrid projects that involve both R&D and a CMO, and handling projects that necessitate new equipment at the plant. The intern will shadow functional experts, attend project meetings to learn and document processes, and occasionally assist with taking meeting minutes.

• The intern will need to collaborate with various departments throughout Fresenius Kabi to gather the necessary information and ensure the playbook is thorough and practical. Regular communication with the R&D and PM teams in FK India will be needed to ensure the playbook includes region-specific requirements.

• This project will provide the intern with valuable experience in project management, cross-functional team collaboration, and stakeholder engagement.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university program; pursuing a STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) degree

• Be classified as a minimum of a sophomore

• Must be planning to return to school at the end of summer

• Must commit to 8-10 weeks full time internship

• Must be organized, self-motivated, collaborative, inquisitive, and a good communicator (verbal and written)

• Basic understanding of IT systems

• Exhibit an eagerness and ability to learn on the job.

• Experience in the Microsoft suite of products and with cloud-based systems is essential.

• Must commit to 10 weeks of internship
