  • FLSA Category: Nonexempt - Hourly
  • Individual pay will be based on skills, experience, qualifications, location, internal equity, and other relevant factors.

A day in the life

The Associate Cleaning Technician is responsible for providing a clean and safe working environment for company employees by cleaning office spaces and other employee spaces in accordance with established cleaning practices.

Your responsibilities will include



  • Vacuums, dusts and cleans work and employee areas to include office spaces, restrooms, cafeteria, lobby, windows, computer center, meeting rooms and other spaces and collects trash and recycle throughout the building.
  • Uses mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment.
  • Uses safe lifting and movement methods to avoid injury.
  • Maintains equipment in proper condition and working order.
  • Notifies supervisor of equipment problems or replacements needed.
  • Uses a variety of cleaning products, including cleaning chemicals, in accordance with instructions and on proper surfaces; is familiar with material safety data sheets for potentially hazardous chemicals.
  • Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.



What you need to succeed



  • A High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of building cleaning or related experience that would have demonstrated required skills.
  • Be a problem solver with the ability to research, analyze and define methods, practices, and procedures to resolve issues.
  • Seeks out educational opportunities to lead themselves to graining new job-related information and skills.
  • Clearly communicate and supports team in a variety of situations, while also being flexible and adaptable.
  • Brings a creative mindset and a go-get-em' attitude to find ways to improve upon processes and projects.
  • Consistently maintains a high level of productivity.
  • Responds positively to a changing environment while maintaining work efficiency.



Equivalent combination of education, experience or training determined to be acceptable by Human Resources may be substituted, unless regulated by contract or program standards
