Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Quotation Specialist in Salem, Virginia at our corporate headquarters. The Quotation Specialist is responsible for constructing quotes for all stages of sales opportunities, building deal packages based on customers needs, and providing value add recommendations/solutions. The individual in this role works directly with the Machine Sales team and other neighboring departments to prepare accurate pricing of sales inventory, customer deal packages, and further CRM assistance. In addition, the Quotations Specialist is also responsible for providing a positive customer experience for internal and external customers by utilizing excellent, in-depth product knowledge, competitive analysis, and customer program eligibility and sales history. Seeking candidates with a minimum two years' experience in an accounting, outside sales, or sales support role. Previous experience in heavy construction equipment industry preferred.
Requirements for the Quotation Specialist position include:
Physical requirements must be met for the Quotation Specialist job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 10 pounds in weight. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
