We are looking for a Helper to join our team!

Important Note: This role is considered safety sensitive, and as such, you may be required to undergo various background screenings. This may include but is not limited to a driving record abstract, criminal check, a company sponsored medical and drug testing.

What You Will Do:
  • Learn and follows Enbridge safety procedures and policies as well as all applicable Standard Operation Procedures.

  • Learn to inspect and operate gas measurement and regulating assets.

  • Learn to maintain and make minor repairs on measurement and regulating assets

  • Learn to operate, maintain, and make minor repairs on tools and equipment used in assigned job duties.

  • Learn to perform well tests and maintenance.

  • Learn to perform pipeline related tasks including but not limited to valve operations, removing liquid from lines, separators, and cleaners.

  • Learn to safely eliminate line blockages, repairs leaks, obtain gas samples, and operate all equipment associated with this work.

  • Learn to perform leak survey, line locating, right-of-way mowing and pipeline monitoring as defined by needs of operating area.

  • Learn to identify and understand the operation of electronic equipment that are applicable to gas operations.

  • Learn to operate heavy equipment as defined by operating area.

  • Learn to and performs inspections and maintenance including but not limited to checking fuel, oil, water, and hydraulic fluid levels on such equipment.

  • Learn all applicable electronic mapping, compliance, and or SCADA tools required to perform job duties.

  • Learn to understand Gas Control procedures required for higher classifications.

  • Learn to and performs duties associated with Field Operator C position in preparation for promotion to the Field Operator C classification.

Who You Are:

Upon successful entry into the position, you must obtain a permanent Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Must have an acceptable attendance and work record. Must pass a reasonable physical test. Must have a mechanical aptitude to work with tools and equipment. Must be willing to work overtime, shifts, and be reasonably available for emergency callouts. Must pass required Operator Qualification (OQ) training and maintain all required Operator Qualifications (OQ) for position.

Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to):

Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 57pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects up to 57 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement, grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 57 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Mental Requirements (Both field & office) include but are not limited to:

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Work is performed in all weather conditions and environments including high-traffic urban areas as well as rural off-road areas.
