The Senior Manager, Microsoft Technology Solutions will drive the strategic vision, design, and implementation of Microsoft solutions, encompassing SharePoint, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), Copilot, and related tools. Working closely with Product Owners, Enterprise and Solution Architects, Innovation, and Practice Groups, you will identify opportunities for improved collaboration, increased productivity, and cost savings. You will also build and lead a dedicated group of specialists while partnering with various departments to ensure seamless integration, security, and widespread user adoption of these initiatives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Strategy & Roadmap

  • Develop and execute a firm-wide Microsoft solution strategy aligned with business goals and innovation objectives.

  • Continually evaluate new features in SharePoint, the Power Platform, and Copilot to enhance the firm's digital landscape.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams

  • Innovation Team: Assess emerging Microsoft technologies, pilot new tools, and establish best practices to transform legal processes.

  • Enterprise Architecture Office: Align solutions with the broader technology strategy, ensuring architectural integrity and future scalability.

  • Other Application Teams: Integrate Microsoft solutions with existing and future applications, optimizing data flows and user experiences.

Solution Development & Deployment

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and end-users, to understand requirements and ensure successful solution delivery.

  • Oversee SharePoint implementations for intranets, document management, and workflow automation.

  • Guide the creation and governance of Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) to solve legal and business challenges.

  • Lead proof-of-concept and production rollouts for Copilot and other AI-driven functionalities.

  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to resolve technical issues related to the Microsoft 365 platform.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of Microsoft specialists, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to set team priorities that align with firm-wide objectives, ensuring shared accountability.

Change Management & User Adoption

  • Partner with the organizational change management and training teams to develop and implement communication, training, and support programs to drive broad adoption and maximize ROI from Microsoft tools.

  • Collaborate with Learning & Development to deliver impactful educational initiatives across all user levels.

Compliance & Security

  • Work in partnership with legal, compliance, and IT security teams to ensure solutions meet industry regulations, cybersecurity standards, and data privacy requirements.

Performance Measurement & Reporting

  • Define KPIs and regularly report on the effectiveness of projects, including user satisfaction, ROI, and operational efficiencies.

  • Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, making adjustments as necessary to enhance results.

Budget & Vendor Management

  • Oversee licensing, subscriptions, and any third-party vendor relationships for assigned Microsoft technologies.

  • Partner with Application Services leadership and the PMO to manage budgets to ensure cost-effective deployments and service quality.

Qualifications and skills:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent experience (advanced degree preferred).

  • 7+ years of experience developing, implementing, and managing Microsoft 365 solutions (e.g., SharePoint, Power Platform, Teams), ideally in a legal, professional services, or regulated environment.

Technical Proficiency

  • Demonstrated success with SharePoint design, customization, and document/workflow management.

  • Proven track record of leveraging Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI for low-code/no-code solutions.

  • Familiarity with Copilot or other AI capabilities within Microsoft 365 and their potential business impact.

  • Knowledge of legal-industry compliance standards and security best practices.

  • Demonstrated source code, secure code, and delivery pipeline management proficiency.

  • Proficient knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with ability to execute within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid deliveries of the SDLC.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • History of leading cross-functional teams and effectively managing stakeholder expectations.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to partner seamlessly with key stakeholders.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Superior analytical and strategic thinking abilities, driving continuous improvement and alignment with firm objectives.
