Note: This position requires to be in the Salt Lake City, UT office 3 days per week.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the Gas Supply acquisition team, building an engaging, motivating and productive team focused on delivery results.
  • Provide strategic leadership and prudent decision making on commodity, transportation, and storage service purchases in accordance with company and public policies.
  • Oversee the development of regulatory positions, evidence, and testify on gas supply matters at the Utah and Wyoming Public Service Commissions and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
  • Develop and maintain key natural gas industry relationships with suppliers, pipelines, storage providers and consultants.
  • Collaborate with key partners to share market knowledge and understand asset utilization to strategically lead gas supply procurement.
  • Manage cost-of-service production resources from Wexpro to optimize reliability and cost-efficiency of supply for customers.
  • Engage and negotiate with natural gas market participants and industry partners to influence favorable outcomes.
  • Understand and speak in support of the prudence of gas supply portfolio costs, including recovery of these costs through rates and deferral accounts.
  • Support regulatory, commercial, and natural gas market matters.
  • Provide oversight of integrated resource planning process and document.

Who You Are:

You have the following education and experience:

  • A university degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of formal education and related experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive related experience in the energy industry.
  • Outstanding leadership and people development skills.
  • Demonstrated communication and relationship building skills.
  • Eye for business including negotiation skills.
  • Confirmed leadership in demonstrating Enbridge's core values of safety, integrity, respect, inclusion, and high performance.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office working conditions with overtime during peak periods.
  • Travel required (25%) to Enbridge offices, sites and non-Enbridge locations.
  • This role requires response to after-hours calls as required.
  • Stress levels can be above normal as the work is highly visible. Numerous interests must be handled concurrently while negotiating/influencing.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Company paid international relocation is not offered for this role.
