Job Description

We are looking to hire a Insights Analyst who is passionate about Retail, CPGs & eCommerce.

Being a leading digital shelf and omnichannel analytics provider working with CPG brands globally, and having been acquired by Nielsen IQ in 2021, we have a wealth of online data and are expanding our Strategic Insights team at NIQ Digital Shelf.

The role will be to support the sales and marketing teams with actionable insights generated through data analysis and research for prospects, marketing, events and existing clients.

The role will require strong experience in analyzing large sets of data using excel and creating effective presentations using PowerPoint.

The role reports to the Strategic Insights Director and will involve working closely with the Sales & Marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate insights and build case studies to attract new clients and assist the sales team in their pitches
  • Create case studies and category snippets to assist the sales team in prospecting
  • Lead tool demos of our solution to new prospects and support the sales pitching process
  • Generate content across categories, competitors and features to support the publications of the marketing team
  • Ensure timely delivery of regular and ad-hoc insights
  • Present your analysis in a way that is accessible for both technical and non-technical audiences, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions
  • Effectively handle large and disparate datasets with the ability to understand, interpret, and translate this data into meaningful insight
  • Ability to quickly draw insights from complex data involving multiple brands, retailers, categories and markets
  • Extract data from our platform and enhance it NielsenIQ datasets and secondary sources including annual reports, presentations and market research reports to provide concise and relevant information to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in building a central knowledge base for all use cases across markets
Qualifications
  • Up to 2 years' experience in a similar insight, analytics role
  • Strong Retail, CPG, eCommerce market knowledge/ experience preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel skills, and Google Sheets skills essential
  • Experience of working with a high volume of SKU/ store level CPG brand data across multiple retailers and KPIs
  • Strong presentation skills and experience in generating and sharing meaningful insights across business categories and to multiple stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbally) in English
  • Proactive with a 'can do' attitude
  • Expert in managing time management and multi-tasking
  • An analytical, curious individual who is open to new challenges
  • A solution driven individual
  • Self-driven & quick learner, who has the confidence to push their own ides to challenge current ways of working

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $55,500-85k. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
