We have a great opportunity for a Senior Counsel, Ad Sales Business and Legal Affairs! This is a unique opportunity to join the midtown office of a dynamic in-house business and legal affairs team at FOX, supporting sales and revenue verticals across the entire FOX portfolio (Entertainment, Sports, News, Tubi). The Senior Counsel, Ad Sales Business and Legal Affairs will report to the Senior Vice President, Ad Sales Business & Legal Affairs.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Negotiate and draft legal agreements and advise business, creative, and technology teams on issues related to linear TV media buys, digital and programmatic sales, business development, ad technology, research, brand partnerships, integrated marketing, and custom content production
  • Work with cross-functional teams, other FOX legal teams, and outside counsel to assess and mitigate risks and achieve desired deal outcomes and business objectives
  • Implement best practice/compliance protocols and develop contract standards for consistency across sales teams and other internal groups.
  • Supervise and manage junior department staff to maximize department efficiency and effectiveness

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • JD from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school
  • Currently admitted to State Bar of CA or NY or eligibility for Registered In-House Counsel in New York
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience at a law firm, ad agency, or media company
  • Experience negotiating, drafting, and analyzing complex agreements and the ability to translate document terms into actionable information for business teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Outlook/Excel, Box, Google Docs
  • Working knowledge of the TV advertising industry and digital media ecosystem, including familiarity with programmatic advertising and emerging ad technology
  • Ability to build trust and drive strong relationships with business, creative, and technology teams at all levels, and to skillfully balance both legal and non-legal considerations when advising on strategic options and risk analysis
  • Flexibility to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume in-house environment
  • Strong and effective negotiating, drafting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Superior organization, attention to detail, and ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Willing to work in person in New York, N.Y.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $161,500.00-220,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
