Genesis10 is currently seeking a Java Technical Lead with our client in the financial Industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Consult on or participate in moderately complex software engineering initiatives and contribute to large-scale planning and development efforts Review and analyze software engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors and modern development practices Develop and enhance cloud-native microservices applications using Spring Boot and event-driven architecture Work with Kafka or similar data streaming technologies to support distributed systems Collaborate on monolith-to-microservices transformation efforts ensuring scalability efficiency and alignment with business needs Implement automated functional testing using BDD technologies to ensure application quality Design and develop UI components using Angular or related front-end frameworks Ensure non-functional application requirements are met including monitoring (APM tools) logging (Splunk) and distributed tracing Collaborate with client personnel to align development efforts with business goals Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Java development experience 4+ years of Java unit test case development experience 4+ years of Spring Boot-based application development experience 2+ years of cloud-native application development experience in Tanzu Application Service (TAS) Azure GCP or AWS Experience with Tomcat application server Expertise in Oracle and MongoDB or related NoSQL databases Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies Pay Range: $44-54 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
