Temporary Supervisor - Internal Audit (Retail Credit Risk & Regulatory Validation)

We're seeking a seasoned internal audit professional with deep expertise in retail credit risk management to join our Global Banking Risk Consulting Practice on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone who understands the entire credit risk lifecycle-from origination to collections-and has hands-on experience conducting regulatory validation work and responding to regulatory findings.

This is a high-impact opportunity to contribute to regulatory validation initiatives for global banking clients while delivering meaningful, results-driven audit work.

Key Responsibilities

Retail Credit Risk Leadership
Evaluate credit risk management frameworks end-to-end, including underwriting, scoring, portfolio monitoring, collections, and charge-offs. Ensure alignment with regulatory guidance and industry standards.

Regulatory Validation & Compliance
Lead and support validation of regulatory findings related to retail credit risk. Provide independent assessments of remediation efforts, model validation, policy and procedure updates, and control enhancements.

Internal Audit & Risk Assessment
Conduct focused internal audits of credit risk areas. Assess control design, operational effectiveness, and compliance with applicable regulations. Prepare findings and recommendations for senior management.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Engage with client leadership and regulatory stakeholders. Present complex credit risk and audit findings in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.

Practice Contribution
Demonstrate RSM's core values-respect, integrity, teamwork, excellence, and stewardship-while supporting the firm's growth through thought leadership and business development.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years in internal audit, risk, or regulatory consulting roles
  • Strong focus on retail credit risk across the full lifecycle
  • Experience validating regulatory findings and guiding remediation

Certifications: CPA, CIA, CRCM, or other relevant credentials preferred.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings to diverse stakeholders.

Leadership: Demonstrated success managing audits and leading teams in fast-paced, client-facing environments.

Travel: Willingness to travel as needed for client engagements.

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
