Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Architect with 10 to 13 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in Atscale SQL Server Analysis Services Data Modelling with Power BI Azure Analysis Services MSBI Database and SQL. Experience in Merchandising Finance & Accounting domains is a plus. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel required.

• Architectural Design & Planning:
• Design and implement a robust and scalable AtScale architecture integrated with Databricks for optimal BI and analytics performance.
• Define best practices for AtScale cube design, aggregation strategies, and caching mechanisms.
• Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, data flow diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance the data analytics platform.
• Databricks Integration:
• Optimize AtScale's connectivity and performance with Databricks Delta Lake and other Databricks services.
• Design and implement efficient data pipelines for moving data from Databricks to AtScale.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to AtScale and Databricks integration.
• Performance Optimization:
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of AtScale cubes and queries.
• Monitor system performance and identify bottlenecks.
• Implement strategies for improving query response times and reducing resource consumption.
• Security & Governance:
• Ensure data security and compliance by implementing appropriate access controls and data masking techniques within AtScale and Databricks.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards.
• Work with security teams to conduct vulnerability assessments and implement security patches.
• Collaboration & Communication:
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to understand their requirements and provide solutions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing AtScale solutions.
• Deep understanding of Databricks architecture and ecosystem, including Delta Lake, Spark SQL, and Databricks SQL.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and OLAP technologies.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
