Basic Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

Clearance Requirements:

Ability to obtain a Department of Defense TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer in the High Performance Computing (HPC) group, you'll support critical programs and emerging technologies across the business before transitioning into an exciting career path in High Performance Computing. You'll work with cross-business and cross-functional teams, apply your skills and experience, learn and apply new advanced tools and processes to prepare for your HPC journey. Once you have transitioned, you'll be a member of a cross functional team helping deliver and maintain tailored HPC systems to meet our customers tough applications. It's a challenge that will put your talent in the spotlight. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player that possesses the ability to work and interact across engineering disciplines. With your focus on advanced HPC systems and broad exposure to our larger businesses, you will have built a strong technical background and peer network to draw upon to advance next generation computing.

We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: advanced computing software, hardware, FPGA programming, embedded or systems development and fielding; sustainment and lifecycle support; model-based systems engineering and digital engineering expertise supporting DoD missions; strong and diverse working knowledge of software languages, hardware and industry best practices; advanced mathematics / physics; a track record of excellent team dynamics, development, and relevant technical contributions.

  • Knowledge of general programming principles and optimization strategies, with previous experience in Assembly, C/C++, Python, Rust, Embedded Linux, or others.
  • Systems design and modeling
  • Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with experience in the art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions.

Target salary range: USD $146,148.00/Yr. - USD $155,000.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
