Taft is seeking an eDiscovery Analyst II to serve our eDiscovery Services team in Taft's Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Denver, Detroit, Indianapolis or Minneapolis office.

We are seeking an eDiscovery Analyst II with 5 to 8 years' experience to support our eDiscovery Services team in the Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Denver, Detroit, Indianapolis or Minneapolis office. All Taft employees operate under a "Client First" philosophy-in all things, we seek to provide exceptional services to our clients.

Essential Duties:



  • Designs, maintains, and supports electronic workspaces in RelativityOne, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency.
  • Analyzes electronic data sets for content, structure, and volume, ensuring proper handling and storage of client data in compliance with firm protocols.
  • Manages data intake, processing, and loading using prescribed applications and procedures, following case-specific instructions from the Taft Discovery Group and other firm personnel.
  • Produces data in accordance with established workflows and best practices, adhering to case-specific instructions.
  • Conducts thorough quality control and verification of all assigned tasks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to firm standards.
  • Independently uses RelativityOne analytics, advanced functionality, artificial intelligence, and scripting to complete assigned tasks.
  • Advises firm members on the most suitable analytics tools for specific cases, ensuring alignment with case requirements.
  • Maintains detailed records of actions using the Analyst tracking application and all project management tools deployed by the Taft Discovery Group, enabling the identification and tracking of data throughout its entire lifecycle, from receipt to archival, as applicable.
  • Performs various assigned tasks, including but not limited to data media duplication and auditing, imaging, spreadsheet manipulation, and printing of images and native files.
  • Assists members of the firm with basic and advanced end-user functionality during all phases of the eDiscovery process.
  • Collaborates with project managers and eDiscovery attorneys to complete assignments.
  • Maintains data security and control by tracking chain of custody, ensuring proper storage in compliance with firm policies and procedures.


Requirements:



  • Advanced proficiency in RelativityOne for data processing, searching, and production.
  • Proficient in the use of RelativityOne analytics and advanced functionality.
  • Proficient in the use and application of RelativityOne to troubleshoot issues and enhance workspace efficiency.
  • Proficient in the application of the standards of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).
  • Proficient in the application of the principles of the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS).
  • Analytical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment and work under a high level of mental effort to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Willingness to work non-standard shifts, including mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends in order to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates effectiveness, credibility, and strong teamwork while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, staff, and others on the telephone, in person, and in writing.


Education & Experience:



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of five to eight years of experience working in a litigation support role using Relativity, in a law firm or e-discovery service provider environment.
