Cloud Solutions Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide customers with strategic guidance and comprehensive roadmaps to migrate their applications to cloud environments (AWS and Azure), from initial planning to full implementation. This role involves assisting customers in onboarding their applications and solutions into cloud environments while ensuring scalability, security, and performance.

You Will:

• Collaborate with customers to design high-level infrastructure solutions, creating comprehensive diagrams and architecture documentation.
• Develop and implement application migration strategies, leveraging the 6 R's framework (Rehost, Replatform, Repurchase, Refactor, Retire, Retain).
• Provide expert-level guidance on cloud adoption strategies and best practices tailored to customer needs.
• Design and deliver high-level project plans, work breakdown structures, and timelines for cloud migration projects.
• Assist customers with onboarding their applications and solutions into AWS and Azure environments, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal downtime.
• Implement and manage Identity and Access models, including integration with Active Directory, AWS IAM Identity Center, Entra ID, and SAML SSO.
• Provide expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) implementations, such as CloudFormation and Terraform, for infrastructure automation.
• Support containerization and microservices adoption using technologies like Docker, ECS, and Fargate.
• Manage and optimize cloud networking solutions, including IP Networking, DirectConnect, Transit Gateway, and VPN technologies.

You Have:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect implementing AWS and Azure environments for Department of Defense (DoD) projects.

• Intermediate-level expertise in one or more Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Proficiency in Identity and Access Management (IAM) models for on-premises (Active Directory) and cloud environments (AWS IAM, Entra ID).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker, ECS, and Fargate.
• Intermediate to expert-level experience in IP Networking, including DirectConnect, Transit Gateway, VPN technologies, and related cloud networking services.

Desired Skills:

• Strong understanding of security compliance requirements for DoD cloud environments.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline integration for cloud-based applications.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills to articulate complex cloud strategies to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related challenges efficiently.
