Maintenance Technician

Pay: $19-$23 per hour (based on experience)

1st Shift Hours: 7 AM - 4 PM, Monday-Friday

This role plays a vital part in maintaining the interior and exterior spaces of the School, ensuring everything runs smoothly across various facilities, including offices, classrooms, performing arts areas, athletic buildings, and outdoor venues. The position also involves supporting special events, including table and chair setups, erecting tents, and event clean-up.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including furniture assembly, painting, carpentry, minor plumbing and electrical work, and preventive HVAC maintenance.
• Inspect and maintain drives, motors, belts, and fluid levels following manufacturer guidelines.
• Coordinate deliveries, renovations, and furniture moves in classrooms and office spaces.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and follow all department policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Assist with event setups and clean-up, working flexibly during school closures, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Plant Manager or Director of Facilities.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in construction, maintenance, or related field.
• Experience with electric and hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and basic electrical/carpentry tasks.
• Valid SC Driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 10-50 pounds and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, bending, climbing).
