Staffmark is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in Vista, CA. Schedule: Monday-Friday As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable processes and payroll systems, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant regulations. You will support both accounting and payroll functions to maintain smooth financial operations within the company. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts, ensuring accuracy before posting. Route non-inventory invoices for approval and post accordingly. Post invoices to correct GL expense and prepaid accounts. Monitor unvouchered payables and received but not invoiced receipts. Process timely vendor payments via check or EFT. Review vendor statements for accuracy. Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly. Assist with month-end close and inventory monitoring. Resolve invoice issues with receiving and purchasing departments. Upload hours from ERP system to ADP for bi-weekly payroll processing. Verify meal penalties, missed punches, and approve timecards and time-off requests. Collaborate with HR for accurate employee data and payroll records. Send temp timecards to staffing agencies and communicate with corporate payroll. Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee data. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED (associate degree in accounting/bookkeeping preferred). Minimum 2 years of accounts payable and payroll experience, preferably in manufacturing. Experience with ADP Vantage or other HRIS/Payroll systems. Strong problem-solving and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a deadline-driven team environment. Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat. Epicor Kinetic ERP experience preferred. The services you offer are not without uplifting benefits to show our appreciation for your time and energy!
