What you will do:
Program, troubleshoot, install, commission, and perform preventative maintenance on HVAC control systems related to mechanical, electrical, and low voltage controls. Respond to service and warranty calls using Johnson Controls software tools and a range of hand and testing tools, such as electrical testing meters. Provide front-line technical support for HVAC control systems while effectively communicating with customers. Offer system repair and upgrade recommendations, assisting in proposals to customers. How you will do it:
Load and configure Johnson Controls field and network level controller software. Conduct commissioning and diagnostics for system controllers and end devices (e.g., sensors, actuators), completing all necessary documentation. Keep management and customers informed about job progress and any arising issues. Calibrate systems using electronic testing equipment. Complete administrative responsibilities, including time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation. Document system changes and assist with as-built documentation. Participate in company-sponsored and self-initiated training to maintain high knowledge and capability levels. Engage with customers to thoroughly understand their systems and needs. Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the job site. Follow safety standards and participate in necessary safety training, prioritizing employee and subcontractor safety. Provide recommendations and solutions to enhance facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities. Propose quotes to support repairs and solutions.
What we look for:
Required / Preferred
Completion of a Vocational School four-year program or an associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a related field, plus three years of industry experience or two years of experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical HVAC systems. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, sequences, and applications. Demonstrated technical aptitude in mechanical and electro-mechanical fields. Proficiency in using hand, power tools, and electrical testing equipment, including multimeters. Solid knowledge of personal computer usage. Computer networking and troubleshooting skills. Ability to learn BAS controller programming. Attention to detail. Strong communication and listening skills.
