Reputation.com is the leader in Online Reputation Management, and our mission is to sort through the vast amounts of information about our customers represented in surveys, reviews, and other sources and derive actionable insights and tangible business results for our customers.

As a Principal Data Scientist, you will be at the center of this mission. We want you to develop the best algorithms to extract insights from that corpus of customer feedback, build the best models to measure the value of those insights, and lead the way in creating data products out of these models.

Principal Data Scientist Responsibilities:

  • Lead and own multiple core models, overseeing their entire lifecycle from understanding complex business needs, to precise problem formulation, advanced modeling, prototyping, and ensuring successful production deployment.

  • Experience developing Saas products using ML/AI is preferred.

  • Strategically collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, operations, marketing, and sales, to identify and unlock transformative opportunities for sustained growth and innovation.

  • Drive the application of advanced machine learning algorithms and sophisticated statistical techniques to create and enhance cutting-edge product features.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to data science team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

  • Engage in high-level strategic planning and contribute to the company's data-driven decision-making framework.

  • Additional responsibilities as required, commensurate with a leadership role.

Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in data science, with substantial responsibilities in leadership and strategic oversight.

  • Proven ability to integrate feedback from a range of stakeholders-including Product Managers, Engineers, clients, and senior executives-to shape and deliver sophisticated, impactful models and data products. Capable of developing and maintaining a comprehensive strategic roadmap.

  • Demonstrated expertise in using data to address complex problems, driving actionable insights and solutions.

  • An advanced degree (PhD preferred) in Data Science, Analytics, Operations Research, Statistics, or a closely related field.

  • Extensive experience with advanced machine learning, stochastic modeling, predictive analytics, and proven track record of building robust data products. Experience with NLP/text analytics is highly desirable.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex model insights clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.

  • Advanced proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages, and mastery of related machine learning packages.

  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data visualization tools.

  • Strong leadership abilities, demonstrated through team management and project leadership in complex, innovative environments.
