Why do we need you ?
The Quality Engineer will work in concert with the rest of their team towards 100% customer satisfaction by implementation of an effective quality methods and processes. These teams could include customer-focuses in the Aerospace or Automotive markets. This position will have ownership for understanding and implementing all market (AS-9100 / IATF-16949) and customer quality requirements within their given team and may be called upon to support other teams within the site as well.
The Quality Engineer will develop the inspection processes needed (both digital and manual) to ensure 100% compliance with all customer drawings and other specifications. In addition, this position will participate in the site World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Pillar Team for Quality and Process Control and support any WCM projects conducted related to quality. The Ideal Candidate will possess the following:
* Understanding of customer quality requirements and developing proper quality inspection processes to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. * Train/coach shop floor employees on proper quality techniques and use of quality tools and equipment * Support WCM Quality and Process Control Pillar and participate in all projects related to quality * Lead efforts related to initial product approvals within the team including APQP, PPAP, FAIR, audits, etc. * Maintain site quality management systems such as AS-9100 / IATF-16949 * Be an effective proponent of the Environmental, Health and Safety program for the site. Responsible and accountable for all EHS policies and implementation in the Quality Area. * Work cross-functionally within the organization to support critical projects as assigned. This may include but is not limited to Supply Chain, Engineering, and or Production efforts which require the input of the Quality Engineer Education: * 0-2 years' experience in a quality/engineering function in a manufacturing environment * 0-2 years' experience Aerospace or Automotive-related Manufacturing Environment Bachelor Degree Technical Degree required. * Master's Degree Technical Degree in an engineering discipline or quality. Work Experience: * 0-2 years' experience In a quality/engineering function in a manufacturing environment Required * 0-2 years' experience Aerospace or Automotive-related Manufacturing Environment Preferred Practical/Technical Knowledge: * Knowledge of AS-9100 IATF-16949, APQP, PPAP - Required * Understanding of modern quality inspection equipment and tools - Required * Expertise in problem solving methodologies and continuous improvement techniques - Required * Must have initiative, strong organizational and decision-making skills, and a high degree of customer orientation - Required * Expertise in Industrial 4.0 areas such a vision systems, automated inspection, and data analysis - Preferred * Six-Sigma/Lean Manufacturing Green Belt Certification Preferred ASQ CQE or CQT or CQA - Preferred To make sure nothing is forgotten

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $70,000 to $108,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $76,300 to $117,700. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
